Dr. Dario Vignali is the Frank Dixon Chair in Cancer Immunology, Chair and Distinguished Professor, Department of Immunology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (UPSOM).  

Dr. Vignali is also the Associate Director for Scientific Strategy, Co-Director Cancer Immunology Training Program, and Co-Leader Cancer Immunology and Immunotherapy Program at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center.

Dr. Vignali received his Ph.D in Immunology of Infectious Diseases from University of London in UK in 1988.  Dr. Vignali performed postdoctoral studies in Institute for Immunology and Genetics, German Cancer Research Center (Heidelberg, Germany 1988-1991), and Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Harvard University (Cambridge, USA 1991-1993).  Dr. Vignali then started his own lab in Department of Immunology, St Jude Children's Research Hospital in 1993.  In 2014, Dr. Vignali moved his lab to University of Pittsburgh and started his new leadership at UPSOM and UPCI.
